1. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern access to and use of cauceia.com — including its Spanish and Portuguese versions and the interactive prototype (/en/demo) — and set the general framework for the future contracting of Cauce's compliance-verification and auditable-trail services, a product of Digital Economy Lab («DEL»). By using the site you accept these terms.

2. What Cauce is and is not

Cauce is a software provider. Before each credit decision it verifies compliance controls — due diligence, sanctions and PEP lists, consent, limits and internal policy — and returns a report with an auditable trail.

Accordingly, Cauce does not:

• lend on its own account or act as a financial institution;
• hold, transfer or intermediate funds;
• make the credit decision, or set rates, terms or limits;
• replace the credit bureau or issue an official score;
• assume the lender's regulatory obligations (AML/CFT, supervision and reporting), which remain entirely with the lender.

The decision, its consequences and regulatory compliance are the responsibility of the lending institution.

3. Use of the site

You undertake to provide accurate information, to use the site lawfully, and not to interfere with its operation, security or integrity — including reverse engineering, automated bulk extraction of content and unauthorised intrusion testing. The site is aimed at a professional (B2B) audience and at persons over 18.

4. Interactive prototype (demo)

The demo is an illustrative example that runs on sample data in your browser. Its outputs — including scores, percentages, offers and trace numbers — are simulated and do not correspond to real transactions, institutions or people. They are not a credit offer, a pre-qualification, or an assessment of your financial situation.

5. Early access, accounts and credentials

Pilot access is granted at our discretion and may require named credentials. You are responsible for keeping them confidential and for activity carried out with them, and must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or revoke access for security reasons, breach of these terms, or termination of the pilot.

6. Commercial services and contracting (future)

The commercial service is in a preparatory phase. Conditions, pricing, service levels, integration scope, data processing and liability will be set out in a specific B2B agreement with each institution. Nothing on this site constitutes a binding offer or a commitment as to availability, functionality or timing.

7. Obligations of the lending institution

When integrating Cauce, the institution undertakes to: hold a valid legal basis and applicant consent; configure its risk policy and rules; review and retain the generated trail; and comply with the regulations applicable to it. Cauce acts as processor in that flow, as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The site content, the «Cauce» brand, the design, software, models and documentation belong to DEL or its licensors. Reproduction, distribution or commercial use without prior written authorisation is prohibited.

CACE-Bench is an open benchmark published under its own licence in the corresponding repository; its use is governed by that licence, not by these terms.

9. Metrics, benchmark and projections

Figures published on the site are of two kinds: (a) benchmark results obtained on synthetic cases with a reproducible reference run, identified by version and seed; and (b) market estimates and targets (for example market size, or target verification times). Neither constitutes a guarantee of production results, which depend on each institution's data, configuration and rules.

10. Liability

Content is informational and demonstrative. We do not guarantee specific outcomes (approvals, rates, volumes or the absence of false positives) and, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or data loss. External providers — financial institutions, data sources and Open Banking services — are governed by their own terms.

11. Availability

The site and the demo are provided «as is» and may be modified, suspended or discontinued in whole or in part without notice for maintenance, security or other operational reasons.

12. Privacy, cookies and AI

Data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. The use of artificial intelligence models is described in the AI Policy.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the consumer-protection and data-protection rules of the user's country, with disputes resolved before the competent courts. Cauce's operational hub is Ecuador. B2B contractual relationships will be governed by the law and forum agreed in the relevant agreement.

We may update these terms; the current version, with its date, will be published on this page.
